Paper Pieced Scottie Dogs

Madeline wanted to pose with this quilt so everyone could see that kitties are indisputably cuter than dogs.  (Well, a live kitty beats a fabric dog any day.)

Beth and I made some of these for practice a year ago (wow)! and my set made it into an Irish chain table topper for Jack and Jeanene Reese for Christmas.  I quilted it pretty heavily but this was pre-Juki, so it was all on the regular sewing machine (easy to do on something this small).  You can see some of the quilting in this picture.  I outline quilted all around the dogs, and did orange peels and X's in the squares.  I have more of the animal paper piecing patterns, if anyone wants to use some (they are in a book).
